A mega medical camp was organised by Assam Rifles and District Hospital Peren on May 5 at the Christian School, Old Tesen, Peren, with an aim to provide medical aid and consultation to the villagers who have limited access to healthcare facilities.
A press release by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Peren office informed that a team of doctors from District Hospital, Peren along with doctors, nurses and paramedical staff from Assam Rifles provided consultation and treatment for various ailments and health problems.
The release informed that approximately 482 villagers and 105 children were benefited by the medical camp.
In addition to medical consultations and treatments, the camp also had a team of healthcare professionals who educated the people about various health issues and provided them with tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
