Meitei Baptist Church Dimapur (MBCD),Kuki Gaonbura Association Nagaland (KGAN) and Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) expressed deep pain over the suffering caused by violence leading to loss of innocent lives and public properties, churches and temples in Manipur.
In a press release, MBCD said such violence was against the principles of God and condemned every individual who were involved in the inhumane act. It urged the people of Manipur to work for peace and harmony in the state and peaceful coexistence.
MBCD has also appealed the government to restore peace and protect all innocent people. The church has also conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
KGAN: Kuki Gaonbura Association Nagaland (KGAN) has condemned the prevailing situation in Manipur and appealed to everyone to shun violence and hatred as it will not solve any problem.
In a press release, KGAN appealed to the centre to provide basic necessities to the affected families lodged in relief camp at the earliest. Kuki Gaonbura Association Nagaland also appealed to the centre to intervened and provide security and livelihood to those affected as Manipur government has failed to “protect and secure the lives and property” of the people.
Further, the association has also demanded that the perpetrators of the crime be brought to justice at the earliest.
DDCF: Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has expressed concern on the prevailing turmoil in Manipur.
DDCF strongly condemned the loss of lives, properties, and attacks on the religious institutions and earnestly appealed to all the tribal and non-tribal of Manipur to cease all forms of violence and try to solve the issue through dialogue and proper understanding, and bring back normalcy permanently.
DDCF also questioned the sincerity of the state government as well as the central government in solving the problem and bringing a peaceful solution to the ongoing “war like situation” in Manipur without any bias.
