Nyamnei appointed as State NPP president

National People’s Party (NPP) on Sunday appointed A. Nyamnei Konyak, MLA as the new Nagaland State NPP president with immediate effect, replacing Andrew Ahoto Sema. In an order issued on May 21, NPP president and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma said that Nyamnei Konyak, has been appointed as State president of Nagaland until further orders with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, party sources said that Andrew Ahoto would be given a bigger role at the national level. He would be elevated as one of the party functionaries of NPP at the national level, sources added.
