Chümoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has once again informed the general public on its standing resolution.
In a press release CVYS president, Kedovikho Visezo and general secretary, Rokovikho Thepa informed that hunting, fishing, collecting of fodder, firewood and other activities that endangers or deplete flora and fauna have been banned under its jurisdiction.
It cautioned that stringent action will be initiated against defaulter with a fine of Rs. One lakh or more depending on the severity of the act. The union also informed that all equipment/weapons caught from the defaulters will be destroyed for which CVYS will not be liable for the loss.
CVYS also expressed concern on the rampant use and sale of illegal and harmful narcotic drugs in Chümoukedima village and in the interest and well-being of the society have declared its jurisdiction as “drugs free zone”.
In this regard, CVYS warned that harsh action will be initiated against the defaulters and will be persecuted as per the customary law of the village.
Further, CYVS appealed to all the denizens to respect and follow the laid norms and regulations under its jurisdiction for the convenience and safety of everyone.
It has also set speed-limits and cautioned against driving of vehicles by underage inside the village jurisdiction. CYVS also cautioned against loitering inside the village jurisdiction without genuine reason after 8 pm.
