NSF office vandalism: ANCSU units hoist black flags

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Saturday informed that all its units hoisted black flag in their respective colleges ‘demanding justice’.
ANCSU through its media cell stated that the exercise was carried out to express resentment against the inaction of the responsible authorities despite the “perpetrators publicly claiming their responsibility for the atrocious crime of vandalizing the NSF and ANCSU office” in the wee hours of May 27, 2023.
ANCSU informed that the exercise would continue until the law enforcing agency initiate befitting punishment against the culprits involved in the criminal act.
ENSA, ZSU-A condemn vandalism: Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) Myanmar has expressed deep concern over the vandalism of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) office.
In a press release, ENSA president Atimiu Makury and general secretary Wanglet Soktoo said that the act was “strongly condemnable” by every right-thinking Naga.
The association said it was shocked to learn about the incident as it came at a time when the eastern Naga student community was standing with NSF to “bring Nagas as one people and one nation surpassing the artificial boundaries.”
EMSA stated that destruction of NSF property was “indeed” the destruction of Nagas’ long built history and call for unity and oneness.
ENSA has urged the competent authority to take the matter serious and deliver justice. The association also affirmed to extend “fullest support and cooperation” towards the mission and vision of the NSF.

ZSU-A: Zeliangrong Students’ Union Assam, (ZSU-A) has expressed distress at the destruction of NSF office and asserted that “such activities will not be tolerated.”
ZSU-A through its chairman Kiliahungbe Nriame and secretary Mireitaung Nriame stated that those involved should be punished as per law.
The union also appealed to the state government to look into the matter seriously and deliver justice.
Further, ZSU-A affirmed solidarity with the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF).
