GPS Ikishe gets new school building

The new school building of Government Primary School Ikishe, was inaugurated on June 3, by Principal Accountant General, Nagaland, A Pitoho Chophi. The new school building was constructed by the Round Table India (RTI), an NGO.
Addressing the gathering, Chophi acknowledged the RTI for their commendable job in constructing the new school building, and said that their humanitarian work will go a long way in helping students achieve better education.
He also noted that their contribution was a big necessity for Ikishe village.
He further urged the students, teachers and villagers to hold the responsibility of maintaining and taking proper care of the new buildings.
Delivering a short speech, member of RTI thanked Ikishe village council for allowing them to assist the village in constructing the school.
He said that students were the future of the nation and that it was the motive of RTI to make the students achieve better education to make the nation stronger and brighter. He said that on average, RTI inaugurates a classroom everyday across the country.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Santoli K and dedicatory prayer offered by pastor, IVBC, Rev Ahoto.
Welcome note was addressed by Lucy while a short acknowledgment speech was delivered by ADC, Samagra Shiksha, Freda Angami and vote of thanks by head GB, Ikishe Village, Thimeto Zhimo. Highlights of the programme included special song by students and teachers of GPS Ikishe while a folk song by women folk of Ikishe Village.
