SNDHD holds graduation-cum-award ceremony

School of Nursing, District Hospital Dimapur (SNDHD), celebrated the 6th graduation day cum late Ketsovole Kire’s 20th award ceremony programme at chapel hall DHD on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Director, H &FW Dr. Vibeituonuo. M. Sachu congratulated the graduates and reminded that nursing was a noble and revered profession.
She said that the profession was about caring people who cannot take care of themselves, and hoped that the three years of training had made them fully geared up to deliver the best to the society.
She also encouraged the graduates to serve the mankind with kind, empathy, humility and sincerity.
She also encouraged the graduates to be an agent of creating awareness to public and hoped that they would remember the pledge taken by them.
She later thanked the doctors and teachers for nurturing the graduates to become the dignified individuals to serve the humanity. Marlyn Sale, before presenting the award spoke on the occasion on behalf of the award sponsoring family.
She also spoke about her late mother Ketsovole Kire early life, career, dedication, sacrifice and contribution for the society.
She also added that her family would continue to support this noble profession
Awardee Nagaland general nursing and midwifery (GNM) topper 2023 Tiasola who was conferred the 20th late Ketsovole Kire award, in her short speech, said that she was humbled to receive the award, and encouraged her fellow nurses to dedicate in the cause to serve the people. Earlier, the programme was chaired by NSG tutor Pursangla, invocation by DHD Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum, welcome address by principal SON DHD Bendangnaro, acknowledgement by NSG. Supdt. DHD Neisavou, special solo by CHO Imlikokla, special No by SNA SON. DHD unit and vote of thanks by MS, DHD Dr. Khrielasanuo Metha.
Highlight of the programme included graduation ceremony by Jt. director NSG H&FW Radile Mero, where 53 students were awarded graduation certificate, followed by a pledge from the nurses and special prayer for the graduate by chaplain DHD Rev. Yhunlo Thong.
