India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati has informed that the Southwest monsoon has advanced into most parts of North East States on Saturday.
In its daily weather bulletin, the Met department stated that light to moderate rain was very likely to occur at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days.
It predicted that thunderstorm and lightning was very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. Further, heavy rain was very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya & Mizoram.
IMD stated that day temperatures had no large change over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura and appreciable fall over Assam, Meghalaya & Mizoram during last 24 hours.
