KMC organises awareness on waste management & clean air

An awareness programme on waste management and clean air was held for sanitation drivers, workers of both Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) and Ward/Village and KMC sweepers on June 9 at KMC Office.
According to a DIPR report, administrator KMC, T. Lanusenla Longkumer briefed the participants on segregation of waste, illegal dumping, littering, safety measures and effects of air pollution. During the awareness programme, a medical camp in collaboration with UPHC Seikhazou and NHAK was also conducted for the attendees where a total of 101 persons availed the facilities. Basic safety/work gear was also distributed to all the attendees.
