Set aside all differences: CM

Nagaland chief minister, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu on Thursday called upon every Naga to set aside all differences and to unite with one voice to grab the opportunity for solution.
While admitting that there were differences within overground and underground groups, Dr. Liezietsu however reiterated that unity was the only to resolve issues, adding “it has to begin from our homes, clans, family and villages.”
Addressing the civic reception at Babu Tzubu amphitheatre after inaugurating the science and administration building of Senayangba GHSS, Ungma, the chief minister said: “Nagas have suffered for too long and it was time for all to come together and solve it. We should not let the future generation suffer like we suffer today.” 
He maintained that the Naga issue was a political and human problem which requires a political and humane approach.
Dr. Liezietsu expressed happiness that Delhi had taken the bold step to tackle the Naga issue and for which he said all Nagas need to put our heads to together and seriously ponder since the long protracted political problem has hindered Nagas in many ways.
While recognizing that Ungma village had produce many noble sons of the soil, he challenged the gathering to continue to play the role of a “big brother”.
He said big villages sometimes often face difficulties to come together, but it is such big villages that accomplish big achievements in all fields.
Those who spoke at the civic reception include minister Imkong L. Imchen, advisor to CM Huska Yepthomi and advisor to CM Apong Pongen while parliamentary secretary for IPR, Imtikumzuk spoke on behalf of the Ungam village. 
Earlier in the day, the chief minister inaugurated the Science and Administration building of Senayangba GHSS. 
Delivering the inaugural speech, he said children should be encouraged to study in local institutions since the state government had been trying to improve the quality of education in the state by providing various facilities. He further urged the parents to let their children avail the facilities at their door-steps rather than sending them to other parts for education. He reiterated that children would get quality education through the co-operation shown by the parents towards the institution.
The chief minister said the lack of co-ordination between higher and lower levels in educational institutions was a major concern and a setback. For this, he said that government had set up a special committee to study such issues.
Meanwhile, short speeches were also delivered by Advisor Urban Development, S.I Jamir; ADC Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal; Ungma Village Council chairman, Alemtoshi Imsong and president AKM, Imkongwati. Rev. Dr. Noklen, pastor UBC invoked God’s blessing while DEO Mokokchung, I. Temjennaro proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by the principal SGHSS, Lakhi Longkumer.
The chief minister was also accompanied by a host of cabinet colleagues, parliamentary secretaries, and advisors besides other dignitaries.
