National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) Kohima observed anti malaria month at Jakhama, Chiephobozou, Tseminyu, Sechu and Chunlika block during this month under the theme “Time to Deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement”.
A press release by DVBO Dr. Kevilhoulie Meyase informed that various activities were conducted at 7 villages under seven blocks from Kohima district and informed that similar nature of activities will be held in few more villages under Kohima district.
Malaria Technical supervisors/surveillance worker and ASHAS from various block conducted the activities along with district consultant, assistant malaria officer, malaria inspectors and vector borne officer such as advocacy and dissemination of IEC materials, proper usages of LLIN i.e. mosquito nets campaigns, social mobilisation activities through PA system.
Public were made aware of waste management; prevention of water stagnation and free malaria test were also undertaken.
No malaria cases were detected during the screening test of malaria.
