Amahator Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has asked State Mission Director (RMSA) Nagaland to start construction of Government High School Amahator Town and cautioned that it to file First Information Report (FIR) if the construction does not begin by April 8, 2017.
In a press note, ARSU president, Sejongmong and chairman Lipithong informed that construction of the said school started in 2012 and after the completion of 60% works the department paid 80% fund.
In this connection, Amahator Range Students’ Union said it served an open letter to the State Mission Director (RMSA) which was published in this daily on March 18, 2017 but lamented that the department has failed to take up the issue.
The union claimed the District Education Officer (DEO) Kiphire on March 31 requested Amahator Range Students’ Union to wait till April 7, 2017. Subsequently, it said the department supplied furniture and fixtures, and attempted to put up electric wiring for the school when the building was lying in pathetic condition.
The student body said it fail to understand the logic of the Education Department Officer’s where “fraudulent withdrawal of funds was entertained for neglecting the contract works.”
It claimed that the same was happening not only in GHS Amahator Town but also in other schools.
