Serving an ultimatum to the government, TASU president Manpang Wangyen and general secretary Tahkai Wangsahum warned that if their demands were not met within the given deadline, then they would impose indefinite blockade on Namtola-Mon road. The union said it had on various occasions written to the responsible district administrations and government but no action has been initiated till date. TASU also urged the government to construct Government Higher Secondary School building as it has been run from a worn out building structure that was meant for girls’ hostel.
