NVBDCP observes Anti Malaria Month

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) Mokokchung observed anti malaria month in villages bordering Assam, at Mangkolemba, Tsurangkong and Tuli Block under the theme “Time to deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Impliment”.
A press release by NVBDCP stated that activities such as malaria screening, malaria awareness meeting with villagers, distribution of malaria pamphlets in local dialogue, proper usage of LLINs usage campaign, etc were conducted during the campaign.
The villagers were also encouraged to test for malaria from ASHAs, surveillance workers, health centers. DVBO Mokokchung, Dr Lhishelo Tsuhah, Epidemiologist, Dr Toshimongla and DVBD consultant, Imkummongba, also visited various Health Centers at Tuli, Mangkolemba, Changtongya and Tsurangkong and encouraged health staff and ASHAs to test all fever cases for malaria and to keep reporting documentation update. No malaria case was detected during the malaria screening, the release stated.
