Rainbow Cluster Level Federation (CLF) office at Merapani village under Bhandari block set up under BMMU, RD Bhandari Block, Wokha and under the aegis of National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Department of Rural Development was inaugurated on July 6.
It may be noted that NRLM Cluster Level Federation office has been equipped with modern facilities and resources to support the rural poor in their journey towards self-sustainability.
Delivering welcome address, president of Rainbow CLF, Thungchanbeni Humtsoe gave an overview on the Rainbow CLF consisting of 12 VLOs, 77 active SHGs inclusive of 625 members across 24 villages with Community Investment Fund of ₹ 38,47,500 in their CLF account.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was dedicated by pastor Merapani Baptist Church, Rev Elis Odyuo.
Guest speaker ADPM, NSRLM DMMU Wokha, Samuel Kithan in his speech emphasized on the significance of collective action, community empowerment, and sustainable development.
He acknowledge the achievements and dedication of NRLM in driving positive change at the grassroots level.
At the inauguration programme, “Financial Literacy Camp” aims and objectives were disseminated to the SHGs and rural communities by accountant, SBI Bhandari branch, Kapani Kolakhe.
Short speech was also delivered by BPM, Bhandari Block, R Erenbeni Ngullie.
