Team NWA returns home after winning historic medals

Team Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) safely landed back home on Monday with historic medal won in the Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championship 2025 held in Delhi from May 21 to 26.
In a press release, NWA through its media cell informed that Team India clinched 2 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals during the Championship out of which Team NWA won 1 Silver and 5 Bronze for Team India which is first of its kind by winning such medals in the International Championship.
The Team NWA with 15 athletes, 1 UWW nominated referee, 1 fresh observation referee and 7 officials were part of the Team India in the week-long championship.
The NWA extended its gratitude to the Government of Nagaland for the financial and all logistic support, Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports (YR&S) for the financial assistance, Dr. Keneilhouthoulie Miachio, Chief Conservator of Forest, Durg Circle for the dinner hosted for the Team NWA. The NWA also conveyed its special thanks to all the wrestling lovers for the support in different forms specially prayer and moral support towards the team and enabling the team to earned medals for the nations.
