Five persons have been arrested by Mokokchung in possession of drugs in separate cases.
Additional superintendent of police and PRO of Mokokchung police informed that four persons were arrested on July 14 during frisking and checking of vehicle at Settsu junction.
PRO said that the arrested persons were Imliwapang (35) son of Longrimongba Jamir of Ungma and a resident of Artang ward, Mokokchung; Imlichuba (32) son of Rongsennungba of Longkong , resident of Artang ward, Mokokchung; Tsuknungwati (47) son of Imkongtemsu, resident of Tzusapang sector Mokokchung village and Imkongnungsang (37) son of Temjenmongba of Mokokchung village. PRO said during checking, police intercepted a Royal Enfield (AS03W 0451) and a scooty (AS 03 AD 7321) and recovered Spasmo Proxyvon and Novocoff-CT cough syrup from their possession.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Mokokchung PS-II for further investigation.
In another incident, one person identified as K. Jimo (40) son of Kiyeto Jimo of Shoixi, Zunheboto and a resident of 3rd mile Thilixu village was apprehended at Sangtemla ward, Mokokchung for possessing suspected brown sugar/heroin on July 15. In this connection a case has been registered at Mokokchung PS-I for further investigation, PRO said.
