Nagaland: Konyak Union unit seals store over ‘suspicious activity’

Konyak Union (KU) Mon unit has informed that a store was sealed on July 18, 2023 over “suspicious activity” after more than 10 truckloads of rice meant for public distribution from Mon FCI godown was unearthed at a store.
In a notice, KU Mon unit vice president Menlei Konyak and general secretary Nokhreih Ünok SN said that as per verbal public complaint on July 18, 2023, members of KU Mon unit and Mon Area Students’ Union jointly inspected “Sangam General Store” located at Techa ward, Mon town, owned by one Anil Yadav. KU unit said to its surprise, more than 10 truckloads of public rice was stored in Sangam General Store godown.
In this regard, KU unit has informed the public of Mon district to bear with inconvenience for a few days until it issues further orders to reopen the store.
