CLP demands CM’s resignation

KOHIMA, JUNE 26 (NPN): Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has demanded state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio’s resignation over his alleged involvement in a road scam. CLP leader Chingwang Konyak in a press release said that the CLP had seriously viewed with concern the rampant corruption that was prevalent in Mechanical Department where 8 Road Projects amounting to Rs. 21 crores was drawn without execution of work by the Contractors in full knowledge of the Officials in the helm of affairs. It has been alleged that the son of chief minister was also a party to the road scam.
