Power department has informed all consumers under Zunheboto district that due to landslide triggered by incessant rains in the last few weeks, the transmission tower at location No. 133 near Lizu village was severely affected.
Mokokchung transmission division executive engineer Er Hekaito Assumi said that the department officials inspected the site and a stop gap arrangement was made to prevent further damage of the transmission tower.
The department has therefore appealed to the public to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience that may arise during erection of the alternative/permanent Transmission Tower.
