Government school teachers of Chukitong Range under Wokha district organized an exhibition of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) under the theme, “Magical Basket”, the first cycle of the Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2023 at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) on July 28.
As part of the event, Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) Wokha officials also inspected the Chukitong cluster level exhibition of TLMs prepared by teachers of schools including GHSS Chukitong, Government Middle School (GMS) Tsungiki A, GMS Mungya, GMS Nungying, GMS Seluku and Government Primary School (GPS) Koio on diverse topics like language, maths, science, environmental sciences, general knowledge and life skills for the lower classes.
EBRC Wokha TOTs, A. Chonbemo Ezung and K. Chumchano Tsanglao gave feedbacks on the TLMs prepared by the teachers and further encouraged them to use them in their classroom teaching-learning transactions.
Samagra Shiksha Wokha project assistant and IE coordinator, T. Ezanthung Lotha also encouraged the teachers and further informed the schools to forward names of disabled girl students to avail stipends from the department. GMS Tsungiki A teachers, K. Mhomo Kikon and M. Benchumlo Humtsoe also gave short demonstrations on TLMs for Maths and English subjects respectively.
The “magical basket” function was chaired by GMS Mungya senior teacher, Yanbani Lotha, invocation by GMS Nungying Hindi teacher, Chonbemo Lotha, welcome address by GHSS Chukitong vice principal, Renbeni Lotha, vote of thanks by GMS Tsungiki A head teacher, C. Chichanbemo Lotha and benediction by GPS Koio teacher in charge, Chumbenthung Kikon.
