Districts hold meetings for Independence Day celebrations

In view of the 77th year of Indian Independence on August 15, coordination meetings to chalk out programmes and distribute tasks for the celebrations are being held by district administrations across the state.


Peren: Peren district administration in collaboration with various department heads and security officers held a meeting on Thursday at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren Office.


According to a DIPR report, the meeting, chaired by SDO (Civil) Kelevituo Nisa, was aimed to organise and distribute tasks for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in the district.
The meeting decided to hold mass social work on August 11, 9 a.m. onwards at the district headquarters. The meeting also agreed to hold visitation programs to children’s homes, the District Hospital, Sub-Jail, and Red Cross, and different departments were entrusted with specific responsibilities.


Niuland: In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, a coordination meeting with various department officials was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Niuland, Sara S Jamir on Thursday.


According to a DIPR report, the meeting allocated responsibilities to different departments to ensure a successful commemoration of Independence Day. The DC also announced mass social work on August 11, 6 a.m. onwards at Niuland Town. All departments and the public have been requested to actively participate in the event.


Phek: A coordination meeting was held on August 2 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek Office to plan for the upcoming 77th Independence Day celebrations. According to a DIPR report, the meeting, chaired by SDO (C) Hq Tsenthungo E. Ngullie (NCS), focused on assigning various responsibilities to departments to ensure the success of the event.
