A three day long “Skill training for rural employment” under the aegis of Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland (GCN) got underway on August 3 at Chizami in Phek district.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nagaland’s Power and Parliamentary Affairs minister, K.G. Kenye called upon the trainees to maintain integrity in their approach to succeed in business venture.
Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board chairman, Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu informed that NKVIB has initiated this skill training programme to equip and motivate the youth in four disciplines (food processing, bee keeping, carpentry and toilet & laundry soap making).
Phek Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Ramnikant, GCN chief consultant, Vikas Rao and Chizami Village Council chairman Kewepelo Tsiihah also spoke at the programme.
The programme was chaired by NKVIB joint CEO, A. Khekiya Rengma while vote of thanks was proposed by Pfukeduo Sopfu, PS to chairman NKVIB.
The programme registered 257 youth and it will continue till August 5.
