Cases of dengue & conjunctivitis reported in Bhandari

A concern over reported cases of dengue fever and conjunctivitis (eye flu) in the Bhandari foothill areas was raised during a preparatory-cum-departmental coordination meeting held on August 4 at the Conference Hall of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhandari, Wokha.


According to a DIPR report, raising concern over the reported cases, Medical Officer (MO), Community Health Centre (CHC) CHC Bhandari, Dr. Renathung Kithan informed that around 10 cases of dengue fever and instances of conjunctivitis had been reported from sporadic areas of the Bhandari sub-division. He informed that 50 cases of conjunctivitis were reported from Lakhuti Village, falling under CHC Sanis.


Dr. Renathung assured the attendees that CHC Bhandari would actively provide healthcare services within its capacity to address the health concerns of the affected areas.
During the meeting, the ADC Bhandari, Rohit Singh assigned tasks to various line departments to ensure the successful commemoration of Independence Day.


The meeting also resolved to participate in the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign from August 9-15, as a significant event under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
