An awareness programme on HIV and AIDS and its treatment and Case Based Surveillance (CBS) was organised by Shansham Organization (SO) Mon TI with support from Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) on August 12 at Yuching Village, Mon.
A press release by SO Mon TI stated that during the programme, SO Mon TI program manager, Stephen Patton highlighted the participants on the topics, “Basics facts of HIV & AIDS”, “Antiretroviral Therapy”, “HIV & AIDS related stigma and discrimination” and “Know your rights with HIV/AIDS ACT 2017”.
The programme was chaired by SO Mon TI, PE Chingkam, invocation was said by Yuching Village Baptist Church Pastor Henyei, welcome speech was delivered by Yuching Village, VDB secretary, Ponwang and vote of thanks was delivered by SO Mon TI, ORW, Lijao. The programme was followed by group discussion, questioning, clarification and community based HIV screening.
