NSCN (I-M) condemns 8 Naga MLAs of Manipur

NSCN (I-M) has strongly condemned eight Naga MLAs of Manipur for submitting a representation to the Prime Minister on an issue that had nothing to do with the political aspirations of Naga people.

Terming the act of submitting the joint representation as treading on “treacherous ground”, NSCN (I-M) through it MIP said the eight Naga MLAs had proved themselves as a confused lot of people not knowing who they were and whom they represented in the Manipur Legislative Assembly.

NSCN (I-M) noted that the Nagas of Manipur were caught off-guard after these MLAs, whom it termed as “spineless”, joined hands with 32 Meitei legislators to submit the representation.

NSCN (I-M) said it found their act shocking and weird as their representation to the Prime Minister was totally against the voice of the Naga people who were demanding early implementation of Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 to meet their political rights and legitimate aspirations.
