With an aim to provide skills training and improve the employability of unemployed youth in the region, skill development training was carried out at Tobu village and Longkhim.
At Tobu, the training programme was organised by Child Protection Committee (CPC), Tobu Village, under the aegis of DAN, Dimapur from July 19 to August 14, at Guest House Tobu village for drop out students on phase wise.
A press release by chairman, CPC, Tobu Village, Metchai and general secretary, CPC, Tobu Village, Davidson Ngushu, informed that the weeklong skill training concluded with short valedictory programme where the trainees and trainer were feliciated.

At the programme, committee members appreciated all the trainees for their active participation and urged them to exhibit their skill towards creating productive inputs.
The committee also lauded trainer S Chungma for his voluntary service in guiding the trainees under his strict supervision. Altogether, 10 trainees were trained on weaving bamboo stools during first and second phase of the training. The release added that a small programme was held which was followed by interaction with staff and patients of the hospital. IRCS also distributed blanket and other nutritional foods items to the patients.
LONGKHIM: A closing ceremony-cum-certificate award programme of the three-day skill training programme was held on August 11 at Longkhim town, Tuensang.
The event was graced by ADC Longkhim, Anoka H Achumi, who delivered the keynote address. Achumi urged the trainees to leverage the skills they acquired during the training to bring about positive changes in the district and Subdivision. President of Glocal Concepts, Kezhangulie Kire expressed gratitude to the Tuensang district administration team led by the Deputy Commissioner for their cooperation and arrangements, which contributed to the successful execution of the training from August 9 to 11. He also acknowledged the visionary approach of NKVIB chairman Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, whose efforts have facilitated the provision of life skills training to the remote communities of Nagaland. Resource persons from Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Missions contributed to the training, focusing on rural employment.
The program was chaired by EAC Longkhim, Er. Keyileuteing, while Dr. C. Chemtingla Yangli, Principal of Oriental College, invoked blessings at the commencement of the event.
