Dzulhami Primary Health Centre (PHC) under Chozuba block has conducted an awareness programme on various adolescent health issues on August 23 at schools. The programme was led by PHC Dzulhami Medical Officer (MO) Dr Kevi Sekhose along with health staff and Anganwadi Workers. Giving importance on adolescent health, MO and team has delivered health talks on the importance of Menstrual Hygiene, personal hygiene and Sex education.
The team also conducted a separate health awareness talks on menstrual hygiene and sex education to girl students from 12 years of age and above. At the awareness, sex education to adolescents were also taken up. During the awareness activity the students were also informed on the importance of taking Albendazole tablet as it treats infections caused by worms.
