Pi (Math) Club organises Math-Fest at Loyola HSS

Pi (Math) Club of Loyola Higher Secondary School, Jakhama organized “Math Fest” on August 26 in the school premises. Seventy students from classes 8 to 10 from Government High School, Jakhama, Government Higher Secondary School, Kigwema and Loyola Higher Secondary School took part in the half-day event.


The programme was conducted by class 10 students- Kevineino Sale, Keleseho Sophie, Lolengoto Kirha and Asato Phira, of the Pi Club. The club staff also co-ordinator and provided the necessary guidance.


Kekhrieneinuo (Asst Teacher, GHS Jakhama), Vikedo Ziitso (Asst Teacher, GHSS Kigwema), Hosal Khieya and Vikekho Yakhro were the judges of the competitions.


Vikhozonu Tetso (GHS Jakhama), Jeeya (Loyola), and Visabeno Thorie (Loyola) won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively in the Elocution Competition. The 1st prize in the Poster Competition went to Neiphrekho Kuotso and Kevizekho Seleyi (GHSS Kigwema), while the 2nd and 3rd prizes were bagged by Nothongonu Khatiitso & Vizhonu We-o (Loyola) and Nokethozo Khariitso & Kevizeto Kirha (GHS Jakhama) respectively.


Other group activities such as “Solve & Show”, “Morse Code Breaker”, “Puzzle Time”, “Art Gallery Space Manager” and “Math Quiz” were also conducted.


The prizes were given away by Fr Pravin Solanki SJ, Principal of Loyola Higher Secondary School. He commended the Pi Club student leaders for organizing the event and bringing students of different schools together to celebrate mathematics.
