The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Central Youth Organisation has extended its congratulations to the 587 qualified candidates conducted by Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) who were presented with appointment orders by the chief minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio on August 30 at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
In a press release, NDPP Youth Organisation through its media cell lauded the government of Nagaland for fulfilling the aspirations of the people. It stated that the establishment of NSSB is one amongst many pioneering achievements of the PDA government that stands as proof of the NDPP commitment and promise to the citizens of Nagaland for transparency and meritocracy.
The release said that the Government of Nagaland under the able leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio felt the need for a centralized system for the conduct of fair and merited recruitment exams for government service, accordingly a drafting committee was set up in 2019 to formulate the regulations and policies for the NSSB taking into consideration the demands of civil organizations and student bodies as well.
It also stated that the NDPP and its alliance as promised has provided stable and good governance, and also made significant improvement in the system by bringing about pro-people policies. It has strived to eradicate corruptive practices ensuring transparency and meritocracy in all sectors.
“The success story of the NSSB is a historic achievement which will ensure a future where fair opportunity is given to our educated and qualified Naga youths thereby completely doing away with malpractice of backdoor or political appointments”, the releases added.
