With the successful conduct of first round, Nagaland has geared up for Round 2 of the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0), a nationwide campaign to vaccinate children up to age 5 and expecting mothers.
In the first phase 81% vaccination rate was achieved for 0-2 age group; 92% for children aged 2-5 years and 86% coverage for identified pregnant women.
The Round 2 will take place from September 11 to 16 and Round 3 from October 9 to 14.

Kohima, Dr. Imkongtemsu Longchar emphasized the need to combat misinformation and promote the benefits of vaccination.
Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima has also informed on the certain guidelines. Dr. Longchar further appealed to the community saying, “Our children’s health is paramount. Timely immunization is a shield against potential threats. With free vaccines available at all government health units, there’s no reason to hesitate.”
