Dimapur Government College (DGC) celebrated its 56th Annual Freshers’ Meet on September 8 2023 in the college auditorium under the theme, “Persistence over Perfection”.
DGC Principal, Prof. Sanjay Sharma delivered the welcome address. Founder of East West Logistics, Kikonic Tech, Kley Enterprise and Kohima Lead Generation Centre, Yanpvuo Kikon graced the event. Kikon motivated the gathering by sharing his life experiences, stating that one should strive for improvement rather than perfection and cited the examples of global companies that have survived because they were always trying to improve.
The highlight of the program was the selection of Mr. & Miss Fresher of which Anando Nayak was adjudged as Mr. Fresher and Phangmei M Konyak as Miss Fresher & Miss Talent.
The judges were Musical artist and songwriter, KL Pamei, Miss Nagaland 2022, Linovi P Kiba and show director of Miss Si Donyi organization and fashion choreographer Logan Jeke Tamin.
