Angami Student’s Union Shillong (ASUS) held its 55th Fresher’s Day Meet 2023 at Naga Community Hall, Nongrim Hill Shillong on September 9.
The meet was graced by vice president BJP Nagaland, Kevidezo Peter Rutsa as guest speaker. He advised the students that studying should be their foremost priority. President of Angami Krotho Shillong, Khriesaneisa Rutsa in his exhortation reminded the students that while they live and pursue their studies in Shillong, they need to show their gratitude as well as maintain a good and cordial relation with the local people to pave the way for the younger generations.
On the occasion, Mhalelhoubei Keyho and Mhalevinuo Solo were crowned Mister and Miss Freshers respectively.
Highlights of the programme included performance by special guest artist Mengu Suokhrie, speech on behalf of the freshers was presented by Vikehenuo Kengurüse, special numbers by Neikie-ü Yashü, Imkikumzuk Imsong and Thejakielie Levi respectively.
