1 expelled for murder

 Padum Pukhuri Village Council (PPVC) has expelled one Lipenthung Lotha son of T Lotha from its village with effect from July 12 for allegedly killing his elder brother, Mhao Lotha on July 11 over a “minor dispute”. PPVC chairman, Z. Zhehoshe Achumi and secretary I. Temsu Longchar in a joint press release said that the expulsion was resolved during its emergency meeting with Lotha community elders of Padum Pukhuri village. It said the house also resolved to warn the parents and family members that they would also face the “same penalty” if found or caught sheltering the culprit.
