Poll duty: ANTA urges govt to pay hire charges

All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Hq. Kohima has appealed to the state government to immediately disburse full amount of hiring charges to the entitled taxi drivers and owners in all the districts whose taxis were requisitioned for the purpose of security duty during the 14 Nagaland Assembly Election, 2023.

ANTA president Dziesevituo Solo and general secretary Meyieho Hibo stated that the association had even notified the competent authority on numerous occasions, but its request was “totally” ignored and disregarded. Urging the responsible authority to immediately respond, ANTA stated that failure to pay off the dues, the association would stop all future cooperation with the government with regard to election matters.
