On Nagaland being awarded as the top performing State from amongst the Northeastern States in the field of IT and e-Governance sector by Computer Society of India (CSI)-Nihilent, Nagaland governor, PB Acharya congratulated minister for transport, civil aviation and IT&C, Paiwang Konyak, and the entire team of Information Technology and Communication department for “this remarkable achievement under Paiwang’s leadership.”
According to an official bulletin, the governor has expressed happiness that the award recognized the efforts of Nagaland in making outstanding progress in the field of IT & e-Governance sector. Describing the achievement as an important milestone, Acharya said “This is also a testimony that Nagaland is second to none. We need to have special focus on IT and e-governance sector so that more job opportunities can be created and Nagaland can become IT hub of North East India’.”
Further, the governor suggested that the state should make use of all kinds of advanced/latest technology to impart skill training to youth in order to cope up with the fast changing scenario in the world.
