Youth Day programme of Kiyeto Baptist Church was held at Kiyeto village on July 12, with Azheto Zhimomi, MLA, 3 Dimapur-III A/C as the chief guest. The programme was successfully conducted with participation of youth in large numbers.
The main highlights of the one-day event included games, sports, music and literary competitions and motivation programmes.
MLA Azheto Zhimomi, graced the inaugural function in the morning which was chaired by Benjamin Aye and invocation pronounced by Grace, women leader.
The Chief Guest unfurled the youth day flag and exhorted the youth. In his speech, Azheto Zhimomi challenged the youth to be self-dependent in this world of cut-throat competition where success cannot be achieved without excellence and to excel is to be sincere in their studies and avoid the intoxicating things that are out to destroy the peace and unity of the society.
Adding that every member of the village is responsible for the growth of the village, he said every individual is responsible for the upbringing of the younger generation under proper guidance and with good education.
Stating that there is blessing in truth and obedience, the MLA appealed the youth to be truthful, obedient and to have respect for elders. He further donated Rs. 60,000. Latter, Ikuto, youth Secretary, WSBAK also delivered a message and Kiyeto Zhimo, GB, proposed the vote of thanks.
