In an endeavour to promote love and unity, a specially dedicated song titled “One in Love for Manipur”, composed and written by singer songwriter, Hailung Zeliang, was unveiled at Musik-A School on Sunday. The ceremony was graced by Executive Editor and Director, Nagaland Post, Aochuba Yaden, as the guest of honour. The music video is available on Sunep Lemtur Youtube channel.
Yaden, in a brief address, expressed his optimism that the song would resonate with the people of Manipur, offering solace and healing during these trying times.
He emphasized that this composition holds significance not just for Manipur, but for the global community as a whole, terming that music as a universal language of love, transcending boundaries and fostering connections.
Additionally, Yaden expressed hope that both the music video and the song would convey messages of love and peace to Manipur, and mend broken hearts.
He also expressed his sorrow over the current situation in the region, acknowledging lives lost and anguish endured by their families, terming it a deeply saddening affair.
Yaden later commended the collaborative effort of esteemed musicians from the state as a magnanimous gesture, demonstrating their commitment to touching the hearts of all who listen.
He also implored for divine intervention to inspire a change of heart among the people, fostering a more peaceful and harmonious environment. Meanwhile, providing a background on the song, singer-songwriter Hailung Zeliang shared that the song was penned in 2008, never anticipating the song would ever have relevance to real-life events. He shared that the inspiration behind it was to reach out to fellow brethren in Manipur, imparting message of hope, prayer, and love through the lyrics.
He expressed his heartfelt wish for the song to find its way to Manipur, spreading its message of love and making a fervent appeal to halt violence, hatred, and bloodshed, in favour of embracing peace.
He also conveyed his gratitude to all the artistes and contributors who played a crucial role in bringing this project to life.
