Rallies against drug abuse

Local leaders, community organizations, and concerned citizens of Pathso Village come together at Shiemong to confront the rising issue of drug abuse in the community on October 2. The rally was jointly organized by Pathso Students’ Union, Pathso Mienyu Hoikam, and Pathso Public Organisation.


Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Panso, Echungbemo Erui, highlighted the societal damages caused by drug abuse and alcoholism, and called for a collective effort to combat those issues. He praised village leaders for their proactive stance and emphasized the need for increased awareness campaigns, receiving assurance from the district administration for continued support.


Key figures, including the Village Council Chairman, presidents of PMH, PPO, and PRPO, shared their concerns and advice. The event, chaired by general secretary of PSU, Heno, , commenced with a procession and concluded with the adoption of resolutions to strengthen the fight against drug abuse.
