INP forest protection force apprehends poacher

Forest Protection Force of Intanki National Park (INP) ‘A’ range while on routine patrolling apprehended a poacher and seized one .12 bore gun from his possession on February 3. 
The alleged poacher, Haijieging of Beisumpuikam village was released on bond while the gun was kept under custody of the forest protection force for further necessary action.  
In a similar incident, forest protection force of ‘B’ range on March 1 had seized bush meat and 1 juvenile porcupine (live) at Ahthibung forest check gate from passengers bound for Jalukie. 
The seized bush meats were disposed off by burning and burying at the premise of Ahthibung forest beat in presence of representatives from administration, adhoc town committe Ahthibung and forest personnel. 
The juvenile porcupine was handed over to the Nagaland Zoological Park authority Dimapur.
