Salesian College holds annual alumni meet

Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) observed its annual alumni meet on February 25 at Fr. Paul Bernick auditorium with additional secretary Municipal Affairs and director Bamboo Resource Centre, Peter Lichamo as chief guest.
Fr. Dr. C.P. Anto, principal of North East Institute of Social Science and Research and Founder director of Peace Channel and Fr. Dr. T.C. Joseph, principal of Bosco B.Ed College were other dignitaries present at the programme.
In his address, Lichamo encouraged the students to use all the available resources to equip intellectually, mentally, spiritually and emotionally so as to become good and responsible citizens.
Fr. Anto while sharing his experience acknowledged that he learned how to organize things and work them out effectively from his teachers.
Salesian College of Higher Education principal Fr. Dr. Policarp Xalxo in his welcome speech mentioned that the college is headed and run by most of its alumni. 
At the programme meritorious certificates for the 2016 toppers in English and Philosophy honours were awarded to Sr. Joram Yajo and Br. Robin respectively.  
New officer bearers were also elected, Fr. Policarp as president and Innocent Gangmei as secretary.
Earlier at the programme, rector of Salesian College of Higher Education Fr. Tom Karthik, enthralled the gathering with a song, vote of thanks was delivered by assistant professor Ashuli Kaisa, assistant professor Kevirienuo Angela co-ordinated the programme.
Prayer song, video presentation on the history of the college, songs, instrumental and college anthem were the other highlights of the programme.
