A programme titled “Neighbourhood Youth Parliament” was held at Peren under the theme” Building Youth leadership for Nation Development” at Rezeuki Guest House, Peren on February 25.
Topics on gender sensitization, tribal administration and constitutional safeguarding pertaining to tribes and Right to Information Act were discussed by EAC Peren, Tsidi Hairang.
Leadership among tribes of Nagaland and its issues was covered by NPF General Unit Peren, president Kingsalt Hegwang, JE DMA SSA Peren Puikosing Michui spoke on special schemes while APC DRDA Peren Iriecule highlighted on various programs and schemes of the Rural Development, government of Nagaland.
The parliament was followed by prize distribution where Peren Town Youth Organisation was adjudged the best youth club of the district.
Earlier, invocation was pronounced by student co-ordinator ZBCC Recasile and welcome address by NYV/NYK Peren, Iralu H. Zeliang.
Altogether 50 member from various youth club and youth organization from Peren attended the parliament.
