Purana Bazar Nkonjan Kikon Ekhung (PBNKE) and East Dimapur Lotha Students Union (EDLSU) have strongly condemned the February 20 incident, wherein some unknown miscreants fired a gun at the residence of Zaremo Kikon of Darogapathar. While condemning the act, PBNKE chairman, Yibemo Kikon and secretary, Er. K. L. Moyo claimed that the same miscreant(s) at around 2:30 a.m. also tried to break into the gate of its bonafied member. Stating that the motive behind the whole incident was of serious matter needing thorough investigation, PBNKE has urged the law enforcing authority to take all necessary possible steps to arrest the culprit(s) at the earliest.
EDLSU: East Dimapur Lotha Students Union (EDLSU) has strongly condemned the firing incident said such incident would not be tolerated. While condemning the incident, EDLSU president Merithung Odyuo and general secretary, Vungthungo Z Odyuo has urged the concerned authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators.
