CWS suspends 2nd phase stir

Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) has decided to temporarily suspend its proposed phase-II agitation after minister Higher Education Temjen Imna Along called for a meeting on October 20 at his office chamber to discuss the issues raised.


In a communiqué to DC Tuensang, CWS president C Pongsu and general secretary Sanglekhamba however affirmed that Sao Chang College would remain shut until its charter of demands were fulfilled.


Minister Higher Education requested CWS to attend a consultative meeting on October 20, 2023 at 2pm in his office chamber to discuss various issues demanded. The minister assured deployment of principal would be done by November 15, 2023. Regarding college bus, he said the matter was under process and one bus would be provided while the remaining would be taken up.
