A major of the 10th J&K Light Infantry succumbed to injury Wednesday evening at Leimakhong Army Hospital after he was grievously shot at by his subordinate Tuesday afternoon. Official sources said havildar Ashok Kumar shot at his officer Major Bharat Diwas hailing from Chandigarh Tuesday at around 3 p.m at one of the outposts of the 10th J&K at Moltuk in interior Chandel district of Manipur.
