Gov, CM, DyCM extend Chaga Gadi greetings

Nagaland governor La Ganesan, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi festival. In his message, Ganesan said the “festival marks the invoking of the showers of blessings of good harvest and good health from the almighty.

May the divine blessings of a bountiful harvest, prosperity and peace be upon everyone.” He also called upon all to continue to preserve and promote the age-old traditions and keep the spirit of tradition and cultural heritage alive.


CM: Extending warm greetings, chief minister Rio said the Chaga Gadi festival honours womenfolk and acknowledge them for their invaluable contribution in fostering love and strengthening familial bonds.


DyCM: Deputy chief minister Patton said Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi festivals, held simultaneously on October 30 and 31, are celebrated to give thanks and rekindle relationships between families and friends.


On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed heartiest festive greetings and hoped that it is celebrated in the spirit of brotherhood and unity.
