As part of the “Dyslexia Awareness Month” and under the banner of “Go Red,” a “#Walk4Dyslexia” was organised on October 28 from The Heritage, Kohima and culminated at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima office.
A press release by ChangeInkk Foundation stated the “Walk4Dyslexia” was flagged off by commissioner & secretary of school education and SCERT, Kevileno Angami as the chief guest. Briefing on the event and the” #Walk4Dyslexia” campaign was delivered by special officer, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, and program associate, ChangeInkk Foundation, Vitozonu Natso.
Earlier, the programme chaired and coordinated by program manager, Mughato Swu commenced with an invocation by Vilvino Kikhi. The event was a collaborative effort between ChangeInkk Foundation, UNESCO MGEIP and other Partners Nationally, Department of School Education, Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, SCERT, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland and several other organisations committed to raising awareness about dyslexia.
The foundation informed that over 200 enthusiastic participants came together to show their support, to raise awareness for individuals with dyslexia, and advocating for a community where differences are celebrated.
