Auto drivers threaten strike

After waiting for more than a month on assurance from Dimapur District Auto Drivers Union (DDADU) to increase auto rickshaw fares following price hike in petrol, the auto drivers of DMC auto parking no 5 at Dhobinala has threatened to launch an indefinite strike (Chaka Bandh) without any further information if there was no positive action within three days from the day of publication of this ultimatum being served to the DDADU and district administration. Three auto drivers namely Tia, Chuba and Sungjem on behalf of all the auto drivers of DMC auto parking no 5 (Dhobinala) in the ultimatum cautioned that in the event of any inconvenience caused to the public and controversies, the DDADU and the district administration shall be held responsible.
