Shots fired outside I&C director’s residence

Unknown miscreant(s) allegedly fired several rounds outside the private residence of director industries & commerce at Supermarket area here around 12am Monday night. Three bullet marks were seen on the roof, one at the ventilator of a room and another hit the ceiling while six empty cases have been recovered from outside the gate. According to the guard of the house, the shells were that of an AK-47 suggesting that the miscreant(s) used sophisticated weapons in the ‘attack.’ An FIR in this connection has been registered with East Police Station. Meanwhile, director industries & commerce Bendangliba has denied receiving any threats or having any personal enmity, adding that he was did not know the reason behind the incident. When contacted, East Police Station officer-in-charge, Bendang, informed that investigation was on to establish the identity of the miscreant(s) and motive behind the shooting.
