As reported, the state government, ahead of the Third Session (Emergent Session) of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled to be held on November 9, has called for another consultative meeting on November 6, to deliberate on the Nagaland Municipal Bill, 2023 before tabling it in the Assembly.
In a communiqué issued on Sunday, Nagaland Legislative Assembly secretary in-charge Khruohituonuo Rio informed that the convenor of the Select Committee to Examine the Nagaland Municipal (Bill), 2023 and deputy chief minister, TR Zeliang has convened a consultative meeting with the apex body of the civil societies on November 6 at 11 a.m. at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima to deliberate on matters pertaining to the Nagaland Municipal (Bill), 2023.
In this regard, the convenor has requested the presidents and general secretaries of Central Nagaland Tribes Council, Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization and Tenyimi Union Nagaland along with one member each to attend the meeting. Further, members of the Select Committee have also been requested to make it convenient to attend the said meeting positively.
